Event: an evening of militant secularism

Militant secularismThe LSS is grateful to our friends at the LSE Students Union Atheist, Secularist and Humanist Society for organising what is likely to be a fun event called “An evening of militant secularism with comedienne Kate Smurthwaite”.

The event will take place on Thursday 27 February at 6pm in the George IV pub (upstairs), LSE Campus, 28 Portugal Street, London WC2A 2HE. You can book your ticket (a bargain at £5.00 plus £0.95 booking fee) here.

The evening is to celebrate two recent successes of the LSESU ASH, on free expression and gender equality.

As the flyer for the evening says: “Seating will be segregated by gender, shoe size, mobile phone tariff and dessert preference in accordance with our deeply-held religious beliefs”.

LSS Secretary Charlie Klendjian will be attending.
